Protect.Calm.Sheltered.Peaceful.Relaxing. What comes to your head when all of those words are together? You wanna know what comes to my head?My mind. Your brain can be the most safest place that you could think of, but on the flip side, it can also be the most detrimental place on earth, that is if you let it be. When your state of mind is at peace that means you as a whole is at peace, but, when your mind is disturbed that means you as a whole are disturb. Your mind protects you and influence your actions, so when your mind is calm and at peace that is the closest that your going to get to being safe.

SCARY...RIGHT?
I think the Bermuda-triangle is the most dangerous place on earth because there has been a lot of mysterious and unexplainable events that have occurred there. Okay, I understand thousands of bombings and other affliction happens everyday in Pakistan but just imagine having your loved one disappear off the face of the earth without an trace....wow....i know...scary isn't it? So to say the least, i think being completely in the dark about something is way more dangerous than being knowledgeable about something because knowing about things enables you to prepare or even expect or except it, but being oblivious to things is has the complete opposite effect.

Tax cuts, which mayor Nutter considers essential to job growth, were frozen. Funding for the Community College of Philadelphia was cut by $2 million, and 11 libraries were shuttered - cuts that clearly run counter to his education goals. The park system, which Nutter said was a top priority, will not get the extra money he promised until at least 2011. Even public safety - the hallmark issue of his campaign - was not spared, as the mayor was forced to settle for 200 extra officers on the streets instead of the 400 he had originally budgeted for.

Where in the world is Obama?
If i could send Barack Obama anywhere in the world for a two week vacation i world send him to Kenya. The reason why i would sent Obama on vacation in Kenya is because his father was from there. Im sure this would be a great place for his to get some rest!!!!! It would also be a great opportunity for a family reunion. So thats where i would send the U.S.A. president-elect for a much needed vacation.
The distance between Chicago and Kenya is 7976.5 miles.

Do you FEEL me?
This article relates to our media literacy class because it talks about how it is important to not always make the students listen but it is also important to let the students try things hands on because you can expect people to do things that they never done or at least tried.

Rihanna boo!!!
Today in media literacy class I had to find 15 different websites all having something to do with a famous person of my choice.
The person i chose to do is Rihanna. I picked Rihanna because I admire her style and her bad girl attitude. One thing that i learned about Rihanna that i didn't previously know is that Barbados was creating a national holiday to honor Rihanna. Rihanna accepted the honor and put on a free concert for her fans.

Library
What my google library says about me.......My google library shows that I'm diverse and bold and lets not forget intelligent but its also says that i have a little hood in me..lol
The majority of my books are fiction but based on facts for the most part and i have a total of 62 books in my library.
What mr. Songhai's library says about him is that hes very...curious shall i say. One might also think that he's a very smart man (I should get extra credit for that!) lol. He has alot of explorer books and guides included in his library and his total number of books is 66.

Today in media literacy class we did numerous of things. For instance we added websites such as http://ipl.org/, http://democraticmedia.org/, http://thefischbowl.blogspot.com/ and http://www.worldcat.org/ to our Google notebook. We also made our very own online library and hand picked all the books of our choice that we want there. We had had to choose at least three books from for fiction, non-fiction and random categorizes. Me personally, i like urban novels, so alot of the books i picked are just that!
